A bit of an introduction for newcomers: Tempe Cares has been a hallmark event in our community since 1991. Every year, hundreds of citizens—students, employees, business owners, and organizations—come together for a grand-scale demonstration of community spirit. This annual event serves as a humbling reminder of what we can achieve when we band together.
This year, we’re setting our sights on a particularly revered historic site, the Double Butte Cemetery. If you’ve never had a chance to visit this iconic spot, now is a golden opportunity. We’ll be nurturing this space back to its prime with a comprehensive beautification project, and we’d love for you to join us!
Check-in begins at 7:30 AM (breakfast included!), and we’ll be on our way for a day of community service starting at 8:00 AM.
Grab your gardening gloves, dust off your community spirit, and ready your eager hearts. Tempe Cares 2024 is just around the corner, and we can’t wait for another memorable year of working together, caring together, and fostering our collective love for this city we call home.
