Tempe Youth Leadership (TYL) was honored, recently, by the Tempe Coalition at the Celebrating Champions for Youth awards ceremony.
The organization received the “Advocate” award recognizing “an organization that advocates for programs, policies, and laws to help provide Tempe youth with an environment where they can live to their full potential.” The award was presented by Andrea Glass, Class 29, and accepting on behalf of TYL was Kate Vawter, Class 30.
The Tempe Youth Leadership program mirrors the adult Tempe Leadership program, which has a long legacy spanning over 30 years with many notable graduates. With the generous financial support of business/community members, and the Tempe Leadership Board of Directors, TYL continues to foster leadership skills, community involvement, collaboration, and the development of future leaders within Tempe.
