What is Feeding Our Future?
Tempe Leadership Class 32 is committed to fighting hunger in Tempe through the “Feeding our Future” campaign. As you consider your end of the year charitable donations, please consider donating to this great cause. Tempe Leadership is a 501c3 organization (check with your tax adviser with respect to charitable deductions). No donation is too small, with just $2 feeding a child in need for one weekend, and $80 feeding a child for an entire school year.
What is Feeding our Future?
- Feeding our Future is a fundraising campaign designed to decrease the number of hungry students in Tempe, while increasing the amount of fresh food distributed to all hungry families, both in Tempe and the East Valley at large.
What is our goal?
- The goal of Feeding our Future is to raise $56,000, which will support students at Thew Elementary with weekend food backpacks, and help the United Food Bank replace the broken swamp coolers in their food warehouse. Once we have successfully met our goal, we will have provided food directly to 393 hungry children for a year, and helped ensure over one million pounds of food every year doesn’t go to waste at the United Food Bank.
You can donate to Feeding our Future through two convenient online methods:
- PayPal: All donations made through our PayPal account are tax-deductible, and will be split between feeding students at Thew Elementary and replacing the swamp coolers at the United Food Bank.
- United Food Bank Tax Credits: Donations made directly to the United Food Bank qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, which means a donation up to $400 for a single filer (or $800 for a married couple) can be claimed as dollar-for-dollar tax credits. All donations made through the United Food Bank are earmarked for replacing the swamp coolers.
